Life.  It’s pretty simple if we let it be. Why do we complicate it? There is a constant pull in this world to be the best, the most popular, the one with the most happening, but why do we let this control our actions? Why do we need to be like every one else going through the wide gate? When we know it says that the wide gate brings destruction. Who wants that?

It says in Matthew 7:13-14: “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” NIV

So be the one to go through the narrow gate.  Have the courage to make decisions that are the right ones but not necessarily the most popular. Go the extra mile to help another, even though it may set you back on your own personal initiative, temporarily.  Know that by doing the right thing every time is taking you through that narrow gate.  The gate that will bring you life in ways you can’t even imagine now. However, in due time, that will be the road to blessings that the Lord has in store for you.
